Recent Update: Students with Urgent Needs
"Just last week I was informed there would be major changes to my financial aid package due to a recent court ruling. I was then emailed an updated financial aid statement that revealed that more than $13,000 was taken away.”
- Itzel, class of 2025
Recently, some of our CREO alumni were notified that state-funded scholarships or grants they were expecting have been delayed or blocked due to an ongoing legal challenge. Because these decisions are outside any student's control but the bills are still due, several families are now facing an unexpected gap in how they'll cover tuition, housing, or books.
In response, we've set up an Emergency Bridge Scholarship Fund to help affected students close that gap quickly. Students who need support submit a short application with documentation of their costs and timeline; our volunteer team reviews it, and we pay schools or vendors directly wherever possible so the support goes straight to what's needed.
We'll share updates as we know more about how many students are affected and how the fund is being used. Financial challenges are common. This one is just terrible timing.
Thank you, as always, for being part of this community — it matters most in moments like this one.
