Jamie grew up in the Minneapolis area and was the first in his family to graduate from college, at Wheaton College (IL), where he met his wife, Corrie. They lived in Santa Ana, CA for over 20 years. His background is in community-based cross-cultural ministries, volunteer-driven non-profit organizations, and higher education institutions, with a focus on preparing middle and high school students for college success. He earned a Master’s of Education from Azusa Pacific University in 2007.

Monserrat López

Program Coordinator

As a first-generation college student, Monse understands the struggles many Latino students face and became a mentor to CREO students in 2022, while she was a student at the College of DuPage. She recently completed a degree in Psychology and Spanish at Elmhurst University and is excited to dedicate her time at CREO now as the new Program Coordinator.

Ana Romero

Parent Engagement Specialist

Ana and her husband, John, are the parents of five children, aged 9 to 24. Her oldest daughter was the first to attend college, followed by her second daughter, who joined CREO in 2019 and went on to enroll at Elmhurst Univers, where she is currently in the nursing program at College of DuPage. Ana is grateful for the support she and her family have received.

Krista Suzuki

Volunteer Recruitment and Communications Coordinator

Krista has been a CREO volunteer & mentor since early 2022, when she was a first-year student at Wheaton College. She grew up in Japan and recently completed a six-month internship and study abroad program in Medellin, Colombia.
