Our Goal
CREO is a beautiful Spanish word that means "I believe.” As our acronym, it stands for Comunidades Realizando Estudiantes extraOrdinarios which translates to: communities creating extraordinary students. Our goal is to provide our students with the right resources and experiences to enable them to believe that they, too, can successfully obtain a college degree.
Our Mission
With the foundational belief that education is a vital key to a full and successful life, our mission is to provide our families with college-centered services that will prepare students not only to enter college but also graduate from college with a degree that will lead to a fulfilling career.
Our History
CREO was founded in 2019 by a dedicated group of individuals who saw a need to bring resources to families in their community. With the help and encouragement of the highly successful college-readiness organization, Waukegan to College (W2C), we have been able to set a strong foundation for our own programming. We are based at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Glen Ellyn and we serve the DuPage County community.
Our CREO Community is made up of the following: Board of Directors, Advisory Council and many other volunteers! Our staff and volunteers come together with other partner organizations.
CREO would not be possible without everyone’s help and support!
Our Purpose
To make higher education a reality in our community by creating a supportive and inclusive space where students can learn and succeed.
